Mississippi Transportation Commission welcomes Easley into Intern Program
Jackson, Miss. —The Mississippi Transportation Commission is pleased to announce E. Paige Easley of Carriere has been admitted into the internship program for public affairs at the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT).
Easley was recently recognized during a meeting of the Transportation Commission in Jackson by Commissioners Dick Hall, Tom King and Mike Tagert.
Each spring, summer and fall, the MDOT Public Affairs Division admits one college senior or graduate student into its internship program. Qualified candidates must be majoring in communication, public relations, journalism or a related field at an accredited Mississippi university.
“Interns are an integral part of the Public Affairs team at MDOT and gain experience form working in public information, digital/social media, brand management, media production and customer service, and with the news media, event planning and education outreach programs,” said Jarrod Ravencraft, MDOT public affairs director.
Easley is a senior at Mississippi College in Clinton and will graduate in May with a bachelor’s degree in communication with an emphasis in public relations. She recently worked on her minor in Spanish, studying abroad in Spain last summer.
Easley is a native of McComb and graduated from Pearl River Central High School in Carriere.
