Traffic Advisory: Alternating Lane Closures on I-55 in Hinds County

WHO:        The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT).

WHAT:       Crews will alternately close the northbound and southbound lanes along the Interstate 55 South Project in Hinds County for debris removal. Both the inside and outside lanes will be affected by this closure at alternating times.

Wide loads over 10 feet are restricted and encouraged to use an alternate route.

                 Motorists should use caution as crews will be present and are encouraged to drive buckled up and distraction free. For more information on driving in a work zone, visit GoMDOT.com/drivesmartms.

WHERE:   Interstate 55, northbound and southbound, between Siwell Rd. and McDowel Rd. in Hinds County.

WHEN:     The alternating lane closures will begin at 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, and are expected to last until 7p.m.
